AltaRd Salon opened its Fairborn location in 2022 with a simple idea. Build a salon that feels like a luxury experience but doesn’t act like one of those stuffy places where you’re afraid to touch anything. A spot where you can grab a coffee, scroll your phone, get a world-class color service, and walk out feeling like a different person.
Owner Ashley Hamby designed the Fairborn space as a hybrid. Part open-floor salon where the energy is up, and you can hear music and conversation. Part private suites for clients who want a quieter, more personal experience.
We’re a full-service beauty salon in Fairborn serving clients from across the Dayton area, Wright-Patterson AFB, Beavercreek, Xenia, and Yellow Springs.
Hair Color and Blonding
Color is the heart of what we do at the Fairborn location. Our stylists specialize in everything from natural-looking dimensional brunettes to full platinum blonding to vivid fashion colors.
We use Redken and Kerastase professional products because they give our stylists more control over the lightening process. Lived-in color is one of our signature services. The whole concept is a color that grows out pretty instead of growing out obvious.
Custom Hair Extensions
Hair extensions are one of AltaRd’s core specialties. Our Fairborn stylists are certified extension technicians trained in both hand-tied and integrated mesh methods. Hand-tied extensions use thin, hand-sewn wefts attached to beaded rows near your scalp. They lie flat, move naturally, and stay hidden when you wear your hair up. Integrated mesh pulls your natural hair through a thin mesh strip, blending the extension hair right at the root. We work with clients experiencing medical hair thinning and reduced scalp visibility. Not every salon is equipped to handle that, and not every stylist knows how to have that conversation with sensitivity.

We do everything from classic cuts and blowouts to specialized curly hair services at the Fairborn location.
Katrina Roberts is our designated curl specialist at AltaRd with 23 years of experience. She’s trained in custom curl cuts and pintura highlighting, which is a coloring technique designed specifically for curly and textured hair.
Skin Care and Facials
Our licensed estheticians handle facials, dermaplaning, chemical peels, and microblading at the Fairborn location. If you’re dealing with stubborn skin issues that home products aren’t fixing, a professional facial is where to start. Your esthetician looks at your skin in person and builds the treatment around what she actually sees, not what a website quiz told you your skin type is.
Nail Services
Our nail technicians specialize in Gel-X full sets and builder gel manicures. Gel-X is a soft-gel extension system that gives you length and shape without the damage caused by traditional acrylics. Builder gel manicures focus on strengthening your natural nail while giving you a clean, polished look that lasts.
Full Body Waxing
We do brows, lips, chin, full face, arms, underarms, bikini, brazilian, legs, chest, back, and stomach. Our estheticians use professional-grade hard wax and check your skin and medications before every service.
Single Needle Tattoos
Our Fairborn location has Tera Wombold, a licensed tattoo artist who specializes in single-needle fine-line tattoo work. Single-needle tattoos are small, detailed, and minimalist. Think delicate line work, tiny symbols, script, and fine botanical designs. It’s a completely different vibe from a traditional tattoo shop. The space is clean, quiet, and inside a luxury salon.

Where do I park?
There’s parking right outside the building at 2610 Colonel Glenn HWY. The main entrance is clearly marked. If you’re not sure which door, call us when you pull in and we’ll point you in the right direction.
Is my stylist at Fairborn or Centerville?
We have two locations, and some team members work at one or the other. When you book online or call, confirm which location your stylist is at that day. If you’re not sure, just ask. We’d rather you check than drive to the wrong spot.
Can I bring my kids?
We do kids’ cuts for children under 10. For your appointment, we ask that you arrange childcare, if possible, so that you can relax and your stylist can focus. That’s better for everyone.
Do I need a consultation before booking?
For extensions, vivid color, and corrective color services, yes. Those require a personalized plan. For haircuts, standard color, facials, waxing, and nails, you can book directly.
