Facial Skincare in Fairborn, Ohio
Your skin has been telling you something for a while now. The dullness that won’t go away, no matter how much water you drink.
At AltaRd Salon in Fairborn, our licensed estheticians treat skin concerns that home routines can’t touch. We’re not a med spa. We’re not dermatologists. We’re a team of licensed professionals at a luxury salon specializing in corrective facials, dermaplaning, chemical peels, and full-body waxing.
Professional Facials Built Around Your Skin
Every treatment starts with your esthetician examining your skin under proper lighting, asking about your routine, concerns, and any medications you’re on. Then she builds the facial around what your skin actually needs that day.
We offer three tiers.
Express Facial
Cleanse, exfoliate, mask, moisturize. Good for a midweek pick-me-up or if you’ve never had a professional facial and want to see what it’s all about without committing to a full session. It’s also the right choice if you have an event in a couple of days and just want your skin to look fresh and calm.
Regular Facial
Cleansing, steam, extractions if your pores need clearing out, a mask matched to your skin type, and a finishing layer of moisturizer with SPF. If you have congestion, blackheads, dryness, or general dullness, this is where most clients start.
Specialty Facial
Hyperpigmentation, acne scarring, premature aging, rosacea, and chronic dryness. We use clinical-grade products and more targeted techniques. Your esthetician will explain every step of her treatment and why, so you understand the treatment and can maintain the results at home.
Dermaplaning
Your esthetician uses a sterile surgical blade and gently scrapes the surface of your skin at a 45-degree angle. It removes two things at once. The layer of dead skin cells sitting on top of your face and all that fine peach fuzz you pretend isn’t there.
Chemical Peels
If you’re dealing with sun spots, acne marks, fine lines, or just an overall dull, rough texture, a chemical peel is one of the most effective treatments we offer. Your esthetician applies a controlled acid solution to your skin. The acid dissolves the outermost layer of dead and damaged cells. What comes through underneath is newer, smoother, more even-toned skin.
Common Questions About Facials and Skincare
How often should I get a facial?
Every 4 to 6 weeks aligns with your skin’s natural cell turnover cycle. Your esthetician will set a schedule based on your specific concerns.
I broke out after my last facial. Is that bad?
Probably not. Purging after extractions or a deep cleanse is normal and clears up within a few days. If it lasts longer than a week or the breakouts feel different from your normal acne, give us a call.
What's the difference between dermaplaning and a chemical peel?
Dermaplaning physically removes dead skin and peach fuzz with a blade. A chemical peel uses acid to dissolve damaged skin cells. They work differently, and many clients do both at the same appointment for maximum results.
Can I get a facial if I'm pregnant?
Yes, but some products and treatments need to be modified. Tell your esthetician before the appointment so she can adjust accordingly.
Do I really need SPF if it's cloudy?
Yes. Every day. No exceptions. UV rays penetrate cloud cover and burn and cause spots on freshly treated skin faster than on untreated skin.
